Welcome to the True For You podcast. This is your host Renee Cupples, and I have a special guest for you today. I'm here with Kendra Burrows. Kendra and I did yoga teacher training together and I'm so grateful to have met Kendra. She is a complete powerhouse, and today we're gonna be talking a little bit about power. When Kendra and I were doing yoga training together, our beautiful teacher Christina Alexa often gave us little gifts, and she gave us scarves, and two people had scarves of the same color, and Kendra and I got the yellow scarves. So ever since, we've called each other- ... power sisters because yellow is the color of the solar plexus, the power center, the energy center in the body. So I'm so grateful to call Kendra a power sister and to be inspired by her. Kendra's a yoga teacher. She goes by Teach Peace Yoga. And she's the type of person that will give you the shirt off her back and help you in a moment's notice, and she has such a beautiful light. And thank you, Kendra, for joining me.
Oh, that was such an amazing introduction. Thank you, Renee. I don't even know what to say. That was so sweet. Thank you. Thank you so much. And I, too, am so honored that we got to, you know, connect in this life, and we were linked as power sisters 'cause I don't think that was for nothing. Yeah. Exactly. I love that.
So Kendra, will you introduce yourself a little bit, a little bit more about your background- Yeah ... and, you know, for anyone who might not know you that's listening.
Yeah, so I mean, I grew up right here in New Hampshire. I'm 41. It's been a long road, you know, of trial and error like everyone else, and I stumbled upon yoga in my life and it's really been a huge trajectory for me as far as where I wanna go and, claiming my power in life and finally feeling like I own my space in life. I have four beautiful children, who are pretty much adults now. Not so much children anymore. And, yeah, so I work a few odd jobs to live my passion, which is to help people, understand and claim their own place in life, by giving them and offering them the tools that work for me, right? Just kind of, showing people what worked for me and helping to raise the overall vibration. So I mean, I feel like yoga is my life. I don't really have a lot going on other than that. My two cats, my turtle. I live a pretty simple life. I have an amazing partner who's made space for me to, bring this into the world and be able to hone my craft and find what works for me. So I am a very blessed, I'm a very blessed woman.
Yeah, and you're such a free spirit, and I love that you're the type of person that you always exude gratitude. Not to say that you don't have struggles or things- Yeah ... that you deal with in your life, but for the most part, you're always trying to be grateful, and that's a huge mirror to present for others, to just kinda show up, work with what you've got. Mm-hmm. And I think that a lot of people don't know that as yoga teachers, part of what you learn in yoga training is how to live life and how to use these tools to just help you through the daily... You know, you can, you can only attend a yoga class for so long. Right. The rest of life is much, much longer. Right. How do we use these tools and apply them to real life? Because it's really helped our lives, so how do we- Right ... um, you know, give the gift that we've been given to other people?
Living that yoga off the mat, right? That's... I love... I think Christina always said that to us, right? Like, we're learning these tools on the mat so we can apply them to life off of the mat. Because that's really all it is. We move our bodies on the mat, to burn, you know, to burn stuff up, we'll say here to keep it PG. And we're moving into stillness, right? We're, we're spinning into stillness, to quote Kate there. And I really love that statement because we do feel powerless, I think, in most of our daily lives. Like we're, a character in a movie, and we're just walking through this reel, and that's not the case at all. We hold so much power in our everyday lives, but it starts single-handedly with your perception and how you feel about yourself and the world around you. And I do think suffering is a choice. I think there's a lot of power in that as well. Having a victim state of mindset is, because again, it's a mindset. It's just a place we kind of hang out, but very much can leave, right? That's just a state of mind. So I like to live in that place of gratitude because it helps me to, I think, ignite my own personal power every day. When I'm not grateful, I'm like handing my power over to somebody else. I'm forgetting what matters to me, why I'm here, fighting the good fight, walking the good red road. You know? So I appreciate you taking note to that 'cause it isn't easy. I do struggle. Everybody does. We have our down days. We have our dark thoughts. And it's just remembering that we need to let those thoughts leave as quickly as they enter.
Yeah. I think that's such a good observation about gratitude being something to take back your own power because I don't think that a lot of people might see it from that lens. Yeah. That just- And you know, you're allowed to be in a bad mood, right? Absolutely are. You're allowed to feel what you're feeling. Yes. But just tapping into something that you're grateful for, I think that maybe some of the times that I've been the most hopeless in my life, just finding gratitude for being able- Mm-hmm ... to breathe. Yes, getting out of bed. And to, like, pour a cup of coffee. Yes. Like, it gets so basic and simple. Yes, so simple. So simple. But it just allows you to be in your body and, "What can I do?" versus, "What I cannot do." And sometimes this happens in yoga class too. People are like, "Well, I can't do yoga, I'm not flexible. I can't do that stretch." I'm like, "You can literally lay in Shavasana for an hour, and I will actually love it."
I love that. I tell people all the time, they're like, "I can't do yoga, I'm not flexible enough," and I'm like, "That's like saying you're too dirty to take a bath." I'm super sorry right now, but flexibility is nothing to do with yoga. Let's just check that right off the box of preconceived notions right there. Yeah, I love that though. And you're right, it is recognizing what you can do, and it is as simple as going, "I am blessed enough right now to be able-bodied to pick this cup of coffee up and take a sip." That's it. It doesn't need to be this monumentous thing, you know? You don't need to be rich. You don't have to have all of this stuff. It can be as simple as, "I'm grateful I got out of bed today and I'm able to be able to endure this bad mood." How blessed are we to be able-bodied and sound mind? Can we start there? You know, and then there's that gratitude of your body. I think most people, I even truly underestimated the power of the relationship of your body, that you have with your body. We often feel like this vessel we're in is, it- it's just us. We are the body, the body is us. But as you and I know, people who come through Shavasana, they come through guided meditation, Yoga Nidra, they understand really quickly that the body can rest while the mind is awake. How is that possible? How are you able to witness your thoughts if you are your thoughts, right? You can't be what you can witness. So we start to see that disassociation between our consciousness and the vessel we're in, and then we can change the relationship between it. You know, I have friends with tons of anxiety, and I said, "Well, have you ever sat down in a kitchen table and pulled out the chair and spoke to your anxiety?" You know, maybe nobody's around 'cause it's super embarrassing. We've done this, you and I, right, in our yoga training. So embarrassing. And so we're like, "Okay, this is weird, talking to your emotions." But all of a sudden the, the relationship, the lens, like you had said, changes on the way that you're looking at it, and you feel this sense of power come back. Well, you know, it's no longer controlling me. It's now a separate entity, and I can meet it. I can walk right up, I can talk to it, I can meet it face to face and go, "Aren't you tired? How can I help relieve you? I know I'm tired. You've done your job. Thank you for being here. Let's move forward." And this sense of power starts to float around, and it does feel uncomfortable. You're bumping edges. It feels strange and clunky. But the more you do it, all of a sudden you're talking to your body, your vessel. You're in charge of this beautiful, meat sack, we'll call it, that brings you through life, and you're able to gain this different perception of the world in a way that now I feel like when I speak with people, I can see their love language with their body and how much power is lost there and where they're not shining and they could. And so all I gotta do is show up, like you said, with my... Ah, give yourself a great big hug. When was the last time you talked to your body? How are you sleeping? How are you eating? How was your sex life? How is your, you know, relationship? How are your thoughts? What energy are you allowing around your body? That is your power. You live there. You get to control your environment. It is not some victimless state that we walk through, this, this movie we walk through where we have no control. You are the narrator of your story. And so what are you doing to control that? And not in a prideful, you know, egotistical way, right? You and I both know the ego sits in the passenger seat. It's something that we look at and we just go, "Oh, okay. Yeah, I see you. I hear you, but you're not driving the car. You're not controlling, right, the script of the scene." So I just wanna remind people in a world where we constantly feel like we have no control how much power we really have, and it starts so small. We don't need to go to the White House and knock on the door. We need to come home and do some personal housekeeping inwardly first and foremost.
I love that you brought up ego, Kendra, because that is a term our yoga teacher, Christina Alexa, used a lot in reference to the power center and how to be in right relationship- Relationship. Yeah ... with your own ego. And like you were saying, when you have anxiety or things come up, a lot of times, those are just parts of you, right, that exist in you. We all have different parts. Yeah. And I like Elizabeth Gilbert in Big Magic uses the phrase the, "The fear does not drive the car. You drive the car." Right? So you're the driver, and fear- Yep ... can be the passenger, right? Yeah. Ego can be the passenger, and these are all just parts of ourselves. And just noticing a lot of times those fear voices, those things that are limiting us are our ego trying to keep us safe. Yes. So it actually serves a good purpose, right? Yeah. It's keeping us alive. Yeah. But if you're stuck and not able to make movement, maybe that ego's having a little bit too much control If you're having a lot of imposter syndrome of like- ... "Oh, they're good at that, I could never be good at that," or, "Who do I think I am to step into my light?" Yeah. You're not that person, right? So you have to, like, be, in charge of your own container, your own vessel. Yeah. But it's such a tricky, I just think of, like, high school psychology- Ah ... when I think of like the the ego. High school.
Oh my gosh, I got three high schoolers right now. That is a nightmare I would not wanna go back to. But they don't teach that disassociation. So anxiety, and fear, and all of these things that bump us are, reactions to stimuli in the world around us. Our body is trained, our energy body is trained to witness things and experience things that our minds cannot even process. And so you walk into a room, and all of a sudden you're like, "Oof, I don't like that feeling." And you feel very anxious, and you're not sure why. My advice is leave the room. Your energy body has witnessed something your mind isn't even capable of processing. There is nothing wrong here. There's nothing wrong here. Your body is designed to do this. But knowing that you are not your anxiety, right? Your body is experiencing a reaction to the situation, much like you would get burned from the sun. It's experiencing a physical reaction from the sun, right? And so when we start to learn that and we disassociate with these very overwhelming emotions that are coming through us, and again, like you said, the ego bumping us. "Why am not good enough? I'm too big. I don't bend. I don't do this. I don't work hard enough." All the things, right? That is just latent impressions, memories coming back up from failed ch- attempts and trials or maybe patterns and programmings we've learned over many, many decades from other people, teachers, social media, whatever the case may be. You really do need to disassociate and go, "Am I that person? Does this even really resonate with me?" Right? Where is my power lie here? Because most of what we're dealing with every day is just, a fog, right, of what we've been exposed to. And we're just really peeling back the layers of that onion by being present, by recognizing that-
Well, and even, even sharing with somebody, like, "I'm feeling really anxious right now," naming an emotion- Yes can take away the shame of feeling the emotion and, and allows you to maybe be a little bit more present with it. Because I think a lot of our tendencies is to maybe numb it or, like, shove it down and not- Yeah ... address it. This is not convenient, right, to feel this way, right?
And to run from vulnerability, right? Like, when we feel that, and to, like you had said, to name it and expose that to another person, you're instantly vulnerable. You're an open wound, and you're like... As a human, we think, oh, well, we don't want that. Our, our ego is always trying to protect us, and it's not gonna want an open wound or an, a bleeding heart on the sleeve. So it's, "Oh, don't do that. They're not gonna wanna hear you. Oh, don't do that. It's too embarrassing." Trust me, they wanna hear it. Trust me, let it be embarrassing. Be open. Get vulnerable. I find that the weirder you are, in a compassionate way, right, in a considerate way... And I use weird in a very loose term, 'cause we love that word in our house. That is such a positive word in our house, so let me just be clear there that by being weird, I mean you're just allowing a vulnerability and a clunkiness of yourself to just be seen. And, and you're letting people see that. And it doesn't matter if you know what to say. Maybe you can't even name the emotion or the feeling that you're experiencing. So you say, "I-"
That makes me, that makes that makes me think of, like, anybody who's not willing to admit that they're weird.
Dude, let's be serious. Yes, yes, yes. That's a red flag.
I'm like- That's a red flag ... everybody's a little weird.
That's like saying you don't like dogs. We can't be friends. I'm so sorry. I'm listening. You have to embrace that. Yeah. You do. And I say that, yeah, being weird just means that you're okay with not always feeling comfortable. And I think that some people are very, unfamiliar with that experience so You'll notice they linger towards maybe other people who aren't so uncomfortable with that feeling, and it gives us a sense of permission, right? So we also do need to, like, be fixing the crown of other queens when nobody's looking or other kings when nobody's looking as other, tribe members in our communities because somebody is in need of your shoulder, or somebody is in need of you listening to their vulnerability without judgment because it gives them their power back that they can trust not only you but themselves. And, and again, like the gratitude, listening to yourself, loving your body, trust, trust, trust. That's where it all lies. How do you have power in anything or anyone if there is no trust? You can't trust people in power if you don't believe in what they're doing. You don't have power. You don't trust in yourself. There's no power lying there if you don't believe in yourself. So I think it all does dial back to, starting at home inwardly.
Kendra, how do you feel like your evolution with power has been? Like, maybe a previous version of you didn't have as much of the personal power- Wow ... and the presence and the self-awareness that you currently have. What might you say to, old Kendra?
That's a loaded gun. Um, so, I think about this a lot. So you and I, we've, we've been through some stuff as far as the work, and when you come into yoga, a lot of people think it's the bending, and it's not. We would do, you know, 16, 20-hour weekends over two days doing training, and what did we do? Two, two, maybe three hours of those of physical movement. Yeah. Everything else is book work, science, philosophy. Your brain is so heavy when you leave. So, I think that in looking back and going through and dialing through the memories and going, "Okay, what version of myself could use some talking to now or a hug?" I was moving so quickly through life- I think on purpose I look back at all the survival modes I was in and how well they served me in those moments. In the moment, I was so ashamed of who I was. I fell into drug use. You know, I've been a mom on welfare. I was a single mom. Oh, shit, I've been homeless. I've been through so much. And I look at that woman, I look at that young girl now, and I think to myself, "Oh my God." I was really moving towards a serious level of personal freedom that I didn't even know was on the other side of the rainbow. And in the moment, I used to say all the time, I think my motto was then, "I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired." I felt like I was drowning in a puddle, you know? And but I just ... There was this pull, like you could do more. There, there's something. Just keep going. Keep going. And I did. And, I like to think that yoga saved my life in the way that it gave me tools that I maybe would have never otherwise found, and it was that I was always in control. I was always safe. I've always been loved. I was born in love. We all are. And, you know, when you have things in your life like that, like addiction or sexual abuse or anything like that, you have layers of your power just sheared away, just pulled away from you. And then you're wounded, and you're walking through life as this wounded scar. And you realize how you've affected other people negatively or positively. And so I look back and, I mean, I've met with a lot of those people and apologized, even though what I did was so innocent, I didn't know what I was doing. Apologized for, for the role that I took, which gave me some power back as well. And just honoring that even those, we'll call them negative things, but they weren't because they led me right here. Would I even be who I am today with this much mental freedom if I hadn't had that kind of resistance to press against? I don't... I think the more you have to press against, the further you can grow. And so I am very grateful. I wouldn't, I would never go back, but I would tell her to hold strong. You're doing the right thing and you're doing everything you can with what you have. And that message applied so much in letting go to the traumas with my own parents, to my past, aggressors, et cetera, and even myself, 'cause that's a big one. We all do what we can with what we have. And once we recognize that, there, there really isn't a reason to be upset about anything. Makes it suffer- Y
our, your vulnerability, Kendra, is so powerful. Like, I'm just ... You're talking, my crown's on fire. I'm just like- Oh ... I'm just in awe because your ability to reflect and, what I'm getting is, like, the power of forgiveness, both self-forgiveness, just forgiveness in general, how it can set you free, right, and help you, um- In- let go ... so many ways.
I, I wish- Yeah ... I could bottle this and just give it out because I feel like, and I, I feel like I've won a lottery in some way. Like, I'm not a financially wealthy woman, but I'd like to think that I'm one of the richest women in the world. And in a-
Isn't it funny, too, like, the, one of the lottery games is Powerball?
I know. Oh my God, seriously. I already won that ticket. And, and, and I-
It's just the one little Powerball, and it's like- One thing ... what if, what if we were our own Powerball, right?
And that's it. What if we shifted- Do you ever see- ... some things up ... that, YouTube video, that Alan Watts does with After School about how to create heaven on earth? It is a 15-minute clip, very aesthetically pleasing. After School is just a program that does, like, drawings, and he's a narrator over it. Oh my gosh, I'll repeat that again. Alan Watts, How to Create Heaven on Earth. You can find it right on YouTube. It's something I watch, I have my kids watch, rewatch, rewatch, watch it again and again and again. I am obsessed with this video. It is like world's nutshell in a 15-minute, aesthetically pleasing clip. It is mind-blowing to think that he says in the video, "What if this is creation place? What if we could create everything and anything we want right here?" And it's just the fact that our perception is a little off, right? We already have heaven on earth. I don't know why we're trying to reinvent the wheel. Hey, kids
Yeah, and that's the power of presence too because I love his audios. It's- I love his voice. Yeah, the way that he narrates and, uh, it just taps into something, like some, some sort of creative- Yeah ... um, place within yourself to- Yeah to, to think past what, um, y- the limits of what sometimes your mind puts you in. Yeah. And, and that when you put yourself in that place of that anything is possible, it just opens so many doors, and it's, it's really the same state as you were in before.
Yeah. Right? So just- Literally ... but it is a shift. Yeah. Manifestation, if you ever do a podcast on manifestation, you let me know. I like to... I, I've been honing these manifestation crafts. It is so creepy how intense it can get, and all it takes, it sounds so dumb, is the power of belief. Believing it has happened before it happens. You see yourself doing it. You're in it. You're smelling it. You're feeling it. You're tasting it. And that is a craft like anything else, but I truly believe that it is one that can be honed, and it can be, um, built and grown. And, I will just simply say things sometimes like, "I'm gonna find something at this location on the ground when I walk in the door." Careful, friends, 'cause you need to be very specific about your manifestations. So-
But it's also about becoming and- Yes ... leading into the habits of becoming the person who already has achieved. Right? So-
Have to be there like it's happened in, in real time ... yeah, you created that person- Yes ... that's your f- the future version. Yeah, and you can be... And, you know, if you, like, say you wanna live on a tropical island, you know, go buy the plant. Start wearing the hats, right? And you're looking at the brochures. You're on- I mean, if you're online, don't waste your time with anything other than images and video stories of being in these places. Research what it's like. You know, start getting your book, your gratitude books, write it out. I mean, there's so many things. But then you're just bringing it. And then that brings you back to really physics too, like the law of attraction. There's that little bit of energetic pull. When you start putting it out there, you're bringing it into you. So, that's why you have to be very careful with your own power of tongue and what you say and think about yourself and the world around you. Because if you say things like, "Well, I'm not gonna get work. I'm not gonna get work. I'm not gonna..." That's exactly what's gonna happen. You have to... And especially when it's at its hardest point, like you said, you gotta do it then. That's when it's the hardest, when you're in the crap, right? You're in the middle of it. You gotta remind yourself, like, "I don't believe it, but I'm gonna fake it till I make it." And, and then those times when you're not in the crap, you really do believe it. You know, you're not... your trajectory is pushing for it. You can see yourself living it. So I say put it to the test if you've got something that you're, craving in life.
So one of the questions that I ask pretty much anybody that I've ever interviewed on True for You is- And I think this maybe goes along with power too, the power of authenticity. I think that you're certainly a person who lives their authentic life and, I love how unique you are and how much you own that. There's no one else like you. I truly believe that.
Appreciate that.
It helps me see that in myself. How would you encourage someone to be their most authentic self?
So I tell my kids all the time, you gotta let that freak flag fly. I can't stress enough, I was born with this. My youngest, like Dalia, straight mini-me. I will say it comes at a cost. There are a lot of edges you press by being yourself. It, in my experience, I like to call it a, a feather ruffler. You don't mean to be. When you are your best self, when you are your most unique self, you are gonna press the edges of other people all the time, and not in ways you think. By being your best self or just your most unique self, and you're, of course, you're doing this compassionately. You're not offending people. This isn't political. This isn't anything statement-wise. This is just you. Maybe you dress the way you want, you just, you're a little goofy, you're whatever, right? You gotta understand that it's gonna make other people who are not comfortable being themselves uncomfortable. And in that way, they may make you try to feel shameful about being yourself. And so you really got to, after 41 years of experiencing this and watching my children go through this, which is so painful, but also beautiful at the same time- Mm You really need to stand your ground and never waver. Own that shit. I don't know what else to say.
It's so true. 'Cause when you- I tell my kids what- When you own it- ... other people's opinions of you have nothing to do with you. That's on them. And I wish someone had told me that I know, yeah. But that's why I keep telling them. Like that's actually none of your business, right? Right. And they're gonna share it with you, but the way you receive it is, is up to you. And- Yeah ... obviously you're allowed to be sad and offended or whatever it is- Sure ... but that's not your truth.
And you need to ask yourself why are you sad and offended. Are you sad and offended that they feel this way about you, or that... Are you and you own yourself. You're like, "I'm proud of me, but I'm sad they feel this way." Or does that mean you're actually maybe really sad for them that they can't be open-minded enough to accept you for who you are? Or are you starting to experience some ego sensations and now shame is coming in because you're mirroring their shame, right? They feel shame that they're not open potentially.
Well, and I think the natural instinct is to retaliate. Absolutely. But actually one of the most powerful practices you can do is non-reaction. Right. Yeah, yeah. Because nothing takes someone else's power away more than you having no reaction- Zero reaction to the thing that they were doing to try to get a reaction.
Absolutely. Yeah, non-violence, right? That ahimsa pra- but yeah, it's, it's one of those, you know, do no harm. And then, and that, and I can't stress enough that the way we language to ourselves and others is huge. It starts at home, that housekeeping. I love it. I think it's, who is it? Swanson. She does this conscious language video on YouTube that somebody sent me. I love it, and it just... Conscious languaging. If you've never heard of conscious languaging, I think that is something everybody should look into. It goes back to manifesting. It goes back to everything. And, and again, perception, and it just makes everything else like gratitude and the way we speak to people and ourselves and having love for life so effortless when we start implementing these little like shifts of habit and awareness around the way we think and speak. All of a sudden everything else is like, oh, okay. And then you kind of see the programming over the years too that you've been... M- maybe people are giving it to you unintentionally. I know my parents were, right? I didn't know what I was doing for my kids when I was, an undisciplined mind in ways. So it's one of those things that we're just, we're always learning, we're always growing, and I think being conscious brings you into right relationship with your power.
Yeah, that's interesting Kendra, it's been such an honor to have you on. I want you to let our listeners know how to get in touch with you. If someone were to want to reach out to you, how would they do that?
Yeah. So I do have a website, Teach Peace Yoga. But if you wanna find me right on Facebook or Instagram, same thing, Kendra Burrows, Teach Peace Yoga. You can... I'm super easy to find. I am teaching Thursday mornings right here in the Bristol area, Newfound Lake area, 8:00 AM. We do strength training, 'cause now that I'm over 40, we realize strength training is, very important if we wanna put on our socks without noise, and we wanna get off the toilet in our 80s. Come join us. We're just doing the things that keep us mobile, movement without limits, and then we do yoga at 9:00 AM. Everything I do is for all levels, cause I think every body is a yoga body. And then actually starting in, November, I'm gonna be teaching at Concord Parks and Rec. I'm gonna be doing some classes down there. So if you're in that area, check it out. They have amazing fees. It's super cheap to join there, and the people are awesome. It'll be like a midday mashup, so if you're in the middle of a lunch break or whatever and you wanna get the body moving, I'll start that when I get back from Mexico this November. But yeah, so finding me is easy. If you wanna list my contact information in your podcast, I mean, phone number, whatever, that's totally fine. People feel free to reach out to me. I do a lot of one-on-one sessions, private coaching, group things, stuff like that. So I love working closely with people 'cause I think that relationship is what we need in this world. We've never been so, -
And I like that you're doing strength training 'cause-
So great.
What a way to feel like a total badass in your body and feel super powerful.
Exactly.
And, and- Lift some weights, right?
Our forward rolling, that's a real thing, man. I didn't know till I started going to the gym last year. I was like, "Okay, I see what these guys are doing." And you feel, you feel good again, and I've never felt this way in my life, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep rolling with it. Just keep taking my power back.
Yeah, and it doesn't have to be anything big, right? You can start-
No, no, I don't... No, it's nothing. Small. Actually, the classes- Yeah ... we're doing have no weights. We're just learning to come into a relationship with our own body and the power there. And then once you feel that you've got that, then, yeah, if you wanna bring in weights, I mean, I do work at the gym myself. I do go to the, the gym. But I'm really picky about that 'cause I'm a mobility movement and with yoga, the gym can be very, very dangerous if you're not wise, if you're out of adjustment. Doing leg presses, one leg could be longer than the other. It's very simple how to harm yourself lifting heavy weights. So be careful. Talk to somebody who knows what they're doing. Yeah. And start with body weight. If you can't move that, you have no place in the gym.
Yeah, and leaning into community, right? It- Yes ... if you have, a trainer or a gym or a place that you can lean into- Mm ... and be in community with it, it's such a- Yeah ... beautiful thing to be in an environment where you can encourage other people, and they can encourage you, and you have to help you.
Suffering together. Yeah. That's what I call it, suffering together, friends. And if you want a class in your area, don't hesitate to reach out. I go where I'm needed and, and where people are, you know, motivated, really. Where people want the help. I think that that's the best place to give it. And you know, I can't thank you enough, though, for having me on here. And, - I think you're amazing for spreading the good word of our power message. Yeah. Not enough people know about it, right? And it's something that I think definitely-
We're just secret Power Rangers, right? Yes. Of the yoga variety.
Just doing our thing over here, no big deal. The quiet warriors. Exactly. I love it. I love it.
Exactly. Well, thank you, Kendra.
Mm-hmm.
And thank you, listeners, for listening. I'll put all of Kendra's information in the show description, and-
Thank you for having me ...
I'm sure we'll have you back, Kendra, 'cause we could just talk forever.
I know. This was awesome. If you ever need, you let me know, girlfriend. I am always around.
All right, sounds good.
Thanks, honey. You have a good day.
You too.
